E.V.G. Lab

Safety and privacy

In short and in simple words: what we store, who sees it and how we protect children who learn with the AI tutor.

Updated: October 22, 2026

For children

  • An AI tutor answers you. It is a computer program, not a person. It can make mistakes — check and ask again.
  • Your conversation with the tutor is not read by your parents, your teachers or specialists.
  • If an answer is strange, unpleasant or wrong, press "Something is wrong with this answer". Then the administrator looks at this one answer only.
  • Do not write your surname, address, phone number or passwords in the chat.
  • If you feel bad or scared, or someone is hurting you, tell a grown-up you trust. You can also call the helpline for children in your country. If you are in danger right now, call the emergency services of your country.

Who we are

E.V.G. Lab is an interactive lab for learning: simulators for mathematics and science and an AI tutor that does not give ready answers but helps to think. It is an experimental (pilot) version for now. The data controller is E.V.G. Lab.

What data we store

  • The child's account: name or how to address the child, login, year of birth, school grade, language and country. No surname is needed.
  • Learning: topic mastery, experience points, streaks, time spent and anonymous counts of actions in the simulators (detailed events are kept for 90 days, after that only daily totals remain).
  • The conversation with the tutor and homework photos are in closed storage; only the child sees them. Metadata (for example, where a photo was taken) is removed from photos.
  • Comfort settings (text size, colours, contrast) are stored encrypted and only the child sees them.
  • Adults: name, e-mail and role in a family, a class or a specialist's practice.
  • We show no ads, sell no data and use no third-party counters or trackers.

The AI tutor and where data is processed

The tutor's answers are written by the Claude language model of the company Anthropic. For users in the EU, the contract is with Anthropic Ireland, Limited.

Only what the answer needs goes to the model: the child's message, recent messages of the same subject, a photo of the task if the child sent one, the name the tutor uses, age, school grade and the topic. The surname, login, e-mail and school are not sent.

Anthropic stores request data in the USA; the answer itself may be computed in different countries. Data leaves the EU under Anthropic's data processing agreement with the EU standard contractual clauses.

Under Anthropic's API terms, request data is not used to train models without explicit permission and is deleted within 30 days. If Anthropic's automatic checks flag a request as a usage policy violation, it may be kept for up to 2 years.

Before the tutor answers, every message of the child gets a short safety check: unsafe topics, signs of risk for the child, personal data, attempts to get around the rules. On an unsafe topic the tutor gently refuses, and if the child writes personal data, it reminds them not to share it. The safety journal keeps only the type of finding, without text.

The tutor has fixed rules for children: say honestly that it is a program, not a person; only age-appropriate topics; never ask for personal data; at signs of danger, gently point the child to a grown-up they trust.

What adults see

No adult sees the child's conversation with the tutor: not parents, relatives, teachers, specialists or the platform administrator. Adults see only progress: topic mastery, time spent, streaks and summary counts.

The only exception is the child's own report about a tutor answer: then the platform administrator sees only that one answer, to check it, and every such view is logged. The child knows this: it is written next to the button.

The signal "may need support"

If the check notices signs in a message that the child feels bad or is in danger, the tutor answers with care and suggests talking to a grown-up the child trusts. The guardians get a letter and a note in the family cabinet: "your child may need support" — without the chat text and without what it was about. Such a signal comes at most once every 24 h. The check is a program: it can be wrong in both directions and does not replace adults' attention.

How to start a conversation

  • Choose a calm moment without hurry and without other people listening — for example, a walk or the way home.
  • Start with yourself and with care: "It seems to me that things are hard for you right now. I am here and I want to help." Do not ask about the chat — you do not see it, and that is normal.
  • Listen more than you talk. Do not scold, do not play it down ("nonsense", "everyone has that"), and do not promise to keep a secret if the child is in danger.
  • If the child talks about wanting to hurt themselves, about violence or bullying, contact a professional: the school psychologist, a doctor, a helpline.
  • The school or a doctor can give you the number of the helpline for children and teenagers in your country. Confirmed numbers of many countries are in the table below.
  • If the child is in danger right now, call the emergency services of your country.

Helplines by country

Every number was checked against an official source: the website of the service itself or of a government body. Each number has a link to its source and the date of the check. If your country or the line you need is not in the table, we do not have a confirmed number yet.

Reporting an answer

Every tutor answer has the button "Something is wrong with this answer": the child chooses "not clear", "wrong", "unpleasant" or "something else" and does not have to write anything. We look at reports to improve the tutor's rules.

Consent and deleting data

Children under the age of digital consent (16 with us, unless another age is set for the country) need the consent of a parent or guardian. A guardian withdraws consent for a specialist's practice in the family cabinet: the child's card → "Circles and consents".

To withdraw consent for the platform, to get a copy of the data, or to delete the child's account and all its data, write to us at info@werktrack.com. We will answer and carry out the request within one month, as the GDPR requires.

You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority of your country.

Laws and rules

We process data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the special rules for children (Art. 8) and for data about development and health (Art. 9: only with the guardian's separate consent), and we comply with the child protection laws of the countries where we work. We follow Anthropic's rules for services used by children: we say that an AI answers, use child-safety rules for the tutor, moderate messages and have a way to report answers.
